Paneer Kadai Recipe

Ingredients

Paneer (cottage cheese) cut into cubes 250 grams
Onions pureed 2 medium
Tomatoes pureed 3 medium
Ginger-garlic paste 2 tsp
Red chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
Dried fenugreek leaves 1/2tsp (kasuri methi)
Garam masala 1 tsp
Bay leaf 2
Cloves 3
Cardamom 4
Coriander leaves a few
Ghee 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Onion cubed 2 medium
Capsicum chopped into 1-inch pieces 1 1/2 medium

Method

Step 1

Heat ghee in a pan and saute the cottage cheese pieces till light golden and take it out in a bowl . Now use the preheated pan to saute the onions and capsicum pieces . Keep it in the bowl .

Step 2

In the same pan add bay leaf, cloves, cardamom,sticks, onion paste and ginger garlic paste. Saute it , well till lightly golden.

Step 3

Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and little water. Mix well and allow the mixture to boil. Add fenugreek leaves, tomato puree and mix again.

Step 4

Cover and cook for five minutes till oil surfaces.Add cottage cheese pieces with salt to taste .

Step 5

Light fried onion and capsicum pieces cook for 4-5 minutes . Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
